Really excited to say that my latest album “Soul Flower” will be released digitally in the US on June 11, 2013 on the label Okeh, that has just been relaunched by Sony Music.

Fans, be on the lookout for it and start downloading ! People have been asking me for such a long time when it would be avail… well here it is ! this is the time.

hey all, we are getting ready once more to go back on tour and meet our fans. We will be going to Toulouse on friday to finally play our long overdue show (show was cancelled last year because of the shootings that happened in the region), then we will visit Heidelberg on the 27th and Zurich on the 28th for our first performance in funky Mood’s. On april 2nd, we will finish up this shows in Marseille.
In between those dates, we will be heading to the rehearsal studio and rehearse our new album so things are just right when we get to record on April 8th. The songs are written and the vibe is excellent. A lot of originals by myself, sam barsh and derek nievergelt (my fav team) but also all the flytones contributed this time in the compositions into making a great new, hot CD.

thank you to all our fans for coming out to the shows and sharing with us the music of Soul Flower. Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and France ! yeah, we had a good run It’s time for us to take a “leave of absence” for several months in order to recharge our batteries. We will be back on the road in March next year. In the meantime, we are writting the music of our new album and hopefully recording it in April 2013 !

Dear All,
Our fall tour is starting on Friday in Switzerland, then we are hitting Germany, Austria and France…. We are excited to play those countries again and hope you can all meet us at the shows to celebrate !
We will have fun, we will have some soul and jazz, we will have some laughs, we will have a workout too ! Happy to be back in some of the same places like Minden and Porgy & Bess in Vienna!

Let the soul flower tour begin !!

Poretta is the capital of soul music in Europe… you wouldn’t think that when you get to this little village in the mountain a day eazrly of your show. Only local people hanging outside bar and cafes, not much activity there at all. The next whne you get up, the town is filled with germans, frenchs, dutch people…every european nationality is there. I even met a gentleman from Alabam that came only for the festival. Porretta is the sister city of Memphis for sure !

Our gig went great with big cheers from the massive crowds that were there. It has been a blessing for our band to perform on the same bill that Mr Otis Clay, Syl Johnson, David Hudson, The Bo-Keys and the Bar-Kays ! We had an extra day off after our performance and I was presented the “Swan” which is the award of the 25th edition of the festival ! made me feel super proud to be recognized for the music that I am doing today with the flytones ! I even got to sit in with the Bar-Kays and Mr James Alexander himself !!

only one more question…when do we go back ?

summer tour 2012 so far

Our summer tour is going great so far.

It started with a great night in La Defense Paris with my friends Fred Wesley & Pee Wee Ellis where 4000 people came out to see us even though France was playing Spain in the Euro Cup! We even jammed out with Alice Russell on that night!

Then Antibes-Juan les Pins came and that was a blast. Such a legendary stage..so much history there. Great shows and great records were made. We were fortunate enough to open for Sir Tom Jones. It was really fabulous and the flytones loved our day off there the following day..right guys ?

Now on to Italy and the Porretta Soul Festival, opening for the Bo-Keys tomorrow night…gonna have some funky good times…
